I started feeding her that morning. The cereal was the consistency of formula and she could not get enough, quick enough. So she cried. Real tears -- something that we do not see much of! So I gave up and gave her a bottle.
I tried again at lunch time. Once again she cried tears. At this point I also cried. So I decided to forget it, worrying that we were not doing the right thing by putting the cereal in a bottle. But Daniel assured me that we do not ALWAYS have to do what the pediatrician says.
Here are a few pictures of her eating, before she started crying.
Over the next couple of weeks we all tried - my mom, mother in law and me - to feed Alaina with a spoon and it did get better after we made the consistency of the cereal thicker and Alaina adjusted to the spoon!
Wow! Motherhood is hard!
