First Time Fishing

The last time we went camping, Daniel decided to take Alaina fishing.  She was so excited and was determined to catch a big fish!

She really wanted to cast it out into the water but Daddy had to help.

Hallow Him 2011



We took Alaina to Hallow Him this weekend at the church.  She had a lot of fun, especially with the exiting things outside!  She was dressed as a deer hunter, who did not want the paint on her face or her picture taken!  Even though she looks scared in some of these pictures, she is not.  Once she slid down, she was in line to do it again!

Last weekend we went camping at Enid Lake for the first time.  We absolutely loved it.  It was so quiet and peaceful!  Alaina loved the playground, especially the slide.

She also loved throwing rocks in the water.  She liked it better than playing in the water.

Slip and Slide

Last Saturday, we had our annual Slip and Slide.  This year I tried to prepare Alaina , telling her we were going to slide down the hill at Mamaw and Papaws.  She would reply, "Weee!"  But when the came, Alaina was a little unsure.  She started out with Uncle Gene, helping wet the slide.

Then, after some begging, she decided to go.  But she was not really happy about it!

 She wanted to watch instead.

Then she tried it again with Tyler and seems to like it a little better.

 Soon, Ms. Independent decided she would rather do it on her own, telling every one that tried to touch her that "La La do it!"

 The funniest part was watching her trudge up the hill every time to slide.  When she got to the top, she was breathing heavy and had to sit awhile to rest before sliding down again!

First Hair Cut

Alaina got her first haircut a couple of weeks ago and she did really well.  She was very excited and sat very still in my lap.

Summer Fun

We have been busy these last couple of weeks.  One day we went to visit Uncle Charles, who has got the most beautiful flowers.  Alaina was more interested in playing with Bully, who stays on the front porch.

 During the first full week of June, Alaina got to really experience Vacation Bible School for the first time.  She had snack time, bible time and play time.  She absolutely loved it.  On the last day, the kids get to play on water slides and eat ice cream.  Alaina wasn't too wild about the water slides but she did enjoy watching everyone else and eating the ice cream!

 The weekend after VBS, we camped at the lake for Thunder on Water.  It was fun and HOT!  Alaina got to go to the carnvial and watch the fireworks.

This past Sunday we had our annual church picninc!  Alaina loved jumping on the blow up jumpers and going down the tall slide, if someone would carry her!
