Santa Weekend

This past weekend, Alaina got to meet Santa for the first time.  We missed him last year so I was a little worried how she would react, but I was more confident than Daniel, who thought she would leave screaming.  We brought Dora in for some reassurance!  Alaina was not scared at all.  We had been reading stories about Santa before and I think that helped.  She was a little unsure at first but Santa talked to her in his wonderful soothing voice. Although she didn't talk to him, she showed him the tree and looked at him with interest.   He was the perfect Santa with a twinkle in his eye!

After our successful trip to see Santa, we headed to Bass Pro in Jackson.  We had planned on seeing Santa there but you had to have a ticket.  When we got there at 2:30, they were giving tickets for 6:30.  There was no way we could have waited that long.
Alaina fell in love with Bass Pro.  She loved looking at all of the animals, especially the deer laying down.  She also loved looking at the fish in the huge aquarium.

Then we headed to see the "Bad Boys," 4-wheelers and other ATV.  She feel in love with one and it was hard getting her to look at anything else.

When we were leaving, she wanted to drive a boat.  Of course, Daniel loved this!

Love her smile!

As you can see, we had a great time and it will probably be the first trips of many to Bass Pro!

Thanksgiving Break

Here are some pics from Thanksgiving vacation.

Helping Daddy cut the grass

On a Saturday, Alaina and Daddy had a cold and didn't need to go outside so they decided to color.

One of my favorite pics!

One of my main projects was to get a decent picture for our Christmas Card. I remember last year, taking over 100 pictures and only having a couple of good ones because Alaina was crying most of the time.  This time, instead of crying, she was acting silly!

I think she is letting Daddy know that she is smiling!  To bad she isn't looking at the camera!

The Sunday after Thankgiving, we had our annual Christmas Get Together with Daniel's mom's side of the family.  She got a lot of cute things -- a baby doll, stroller, grocery cart and a set of Disney Princesses Board Books.

Halloween Weekend

Last weekend we decided to go camping again at Grenada Lake.  It was a lot of fun even though the fire ban had not been lifted.
Our neighbors let Alaina borrow their son's car.  His mom told us he had already gone to bed and there would not be a fight.  As you can see, she loved it.  We have already put in a request for Santa!

On Saturday, Alaina dressed as an angel and we went to our Hallow Him at our church.

She was not very happy about it!

Daddy had to help on this one!

She also enjoyed the blow up slides outside.

Flower Girl

On October 16, my cousin Amanda got married at a beautiful cabin by the lake in Carroll County.  At her request, Alaina was one of the flower girls.  I was unsure how this would go.  Would she refuse to go down the isle?  Would she throw a fit?
Thankfully, my worries were gone when Amanda decided to have the smaller attendants pulled in a wagon down the isle.

Before she made her way down the isle, she hit her head.  That is why the tear is there.

Our attempt at a nice picture aftwards.  We took several and this is the best one!
